Your day program

From 8:30 am to 3:00 pm, theory, practice and recovery time follow a gentle, progressive rhythm.

Day 1

Freediving foundations

A complete day to understand, experience and practise freediving safely.

Theory and dry exercises

Freediving physiology, breathing, relaxation, key safety rules and equalization basics, followed by dry breathing and relaxation exercises.

Static apnea

A progressive session to become familiar with breath-hold sensations, find relaxation and observe how your body responds.

Rescue and protocols

Learn surface rescue skills and the essential protocols for practicing freediving safely.

Depth

Two hours in the water to discover free immersion and constant weight, then work on the duck dive, finning, streamlining and relaxation. Every dive is accompanied by an instructor.

Lunch break

We continue the day over a poke bowl at Ta’ahiamanu Beach: one hour to eat, recover and talk together before the next session.

Dynamic apnea

A session to find your rhythm and improve finning, head position, glide and relaxation.

Videos and review

Complimentary GoPro videos provide both memories and a learning tool, allowing you to review body position before a final debrief with practical ways to keep progressing.

What to bring

  • Swimwear, towel, water and sunscreen
  • Your mask, snorkel, fins, wetsuit and weight belt if you have them; any missing equipment is provided
